About My Art

dotJANE started long before the name existed. I grew up in Baltimore, always sketching, painting, and dreaming up characters that didn’t quite fit the lines. Art was the first language I learned, and it followed me when I moved to Los Angeles. After designing a series of salon-centered illustrations for my sister’s LA hair studio, iLoveLULU, I realized my style had a place beyond sketchbooks and side projects.

That spark pushed me to build something of my own. From a small apartment in downtown LA, I began screen printing by hand and shaping what would become dotJANE—followed shortly by dotJOHN, the mens line. What started as a one-person experiment grew into a street-driven brand rooted in storytelling, humor, and the offbeat art that’s been with me since childhood.

This is still the heart of the brand: independent, expressive, and created from the ground up.
